, tweet us. tune into "good morning america" tomorrow. and as always, tweet us at abcnews.com. yosemite has swelled to 175,000 acres. 2,000 firefighters are making some progress. right now they have it 5% contained. the fire is dangerously close to 4500 homes tonight. it has already destroyed 16 structures since it began six days ago. good evening, everyone. i'm carolyn johnson. dan ashley is off tonight. here is the latest map showing just how large this fire has grown. let's get abc7 news reporter john alston who is live from the fire tonight. john? >> reporter: about 10 minutes ago the hillside exploded into flames. this is along highway 20 which remains closed. the fire has also touched yosemite national park which does remain open at this time. this is one of the many hill sides that cal fire is very concerned about. partially because this wood that is burning is dryer than lumber that you would buy at a store. flames continue to own the hillside. the night sky makes it easier to see the actual fires burning under all of that smoke. tonight cal fire put some crews on stan

"good morning america" tomorrow. good night. reached. ac transit union announced it and that means buses will run tomorrow. i'm carolyn johnson. >> and i'm dan ashley. let's get to john alston live at headquarters in oakland. john. >> reporter: minutes ago we received an e-mail from the transit union announcing there was a tentative deal reached and that buses would roll in the morning. they came to a common ground after many hour negotiat of negotiation today. up until a few minutes ago ac transit said they made progress and things were very, very close. we found out a short time ago that a tentative agreement had been reached. it has been a long side trying to keep both buses running. >> we definitely want to bargain a contract. we are here in hopes that we can get this accomplished this evening. i want to thank everyone on the board for their tenacity. >> since this morning there has been movement. we are as always optimistic about our chances for averting the strike. >> the transit board met briers as closed doors as a mediator shuttled between each side. ac transit was offerin

morning america to talk about the personal mission. it airs at 7:00 a.m. writ after the abc morning news. you can imagine for this young ball player life changing event. he'll talk about it on wednesday. >> well as you may have heard the meteor shower is out and about. amma tweeted she saw one meteor but also a bunch of raccoon in the back yard didn't work out to what she hoped. >> no. raccoon were keeping her company. half dozen of them. one ended up in the pool. wait until midnight. you will see many more meteor if you get away from the coast and here's look at computer animation so we have fog here the cost tonight. the meteor shower peaked this morning. another round as we see the peak tomorrow morning as well. look towards the constellation here. farther inland you go the better chance ps oz of seeing the shower. look to the northeast between 11:00 p.m. and dawn. best viewing is going to be between 11:00 p.m. and dawn and if you do happen to be in a dark place allow your eye to adjust. pretty cool show. let's check out live doppler 7 hd writ new and show you what it looks like.

check out good morning america here at 7:00. >> the woz is always good fun. let's talk about the weather forecast. we have been watching lightning strikes offshore. it is not quite what we had last night. >> we are not expecting a rerun of last night tonight, but we are not out of the woods yet. there is really not a lot going on. we have the low clouds and the fog beginning to deepen. already pushing into santa rosa. the last four hours you can see the lightning strikes in the sierra nevada and they had some off the coastline here. more than 1200 lightning strikes when all was said and done for today. at least they were not over the bay area. still continuing to get pictures. this was posted -- it was sent via twitter by deep 6. you can see how it looked from the midsan jose area. here is another picture posted by antonio m. great picture. thank you very much. tonight we will fast-forward and we have a blue moon and it is the third full moon of the season. that's why you get the name, blue moon. you have an opportunity to see it as we head into the early morning hours. the low c
